Horror Correspondence Course - Assignment Five
For the last assignment I wanted to keep with my running theme through the course of presenting my own horror comic graphic novel. In this scene we see Cloe bound to the inverted cross as the Father assesses the situation. As with the intent of all these I first wanted to satisfy the assignment requirements and then create pages for an ash can of my comic.
For this assignment you were instructed to draw four differing views of the head and then a splash scene of your horror character. I slightly modified it in that I drew the four heads in panels and added a large scene at the end. I also wrote my own narrative and dialog to go along. At the end of this post I've included the final coloring of the assignment as well. I really enjoyed this assignment. I especially enjoyed creating the strange corps in the air scene found. It was partly inspired by an old Doctor Strange comic. However, in that comic it wasn't corpses in the air it was a bizarre shape in one of Strange's other dimensional travels and it didn't look like a human just a magical shape...
Here's the colored version of the same page. Not only did I enjoy creating the crazy sky scene but I had fun coloring it too!
And finally here are some practice drawings I did for assignment five...
